This dendritic cell vaccine is an autologous cell therapy developed by the Fundacio De Recerca Clinic Barcelona-Institut D’Investigacions Biomediques August Pi I Sunyer (IDIBAPS) for the prevention and treatment of cancers associated with Lynch syndrome. The vaccine is composed of a patient's own dendritic cells that have been matured and pulsed with a pool of shared frameshift-derived neopeptides (FSPs). These FSPs are highly immunogenic antigens that result from frameshift mutations in microsatellite unstable (MSI-H) cells, a hallmark of Lynch syndrome. By presenting these neoantigens to the immune system, the vaccine aims to prime and activate CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocytes to recognize and eliminate cells expressing these specific neopeptides, thereby providing a targeted immunotherapy against Lynch syndrome-related malignancies such as colorectal and endometrial cancers.
