The dendritic cell vaccine developed by Shanghai Cell Therapy Group is an autologous cell-based immunotherapy designed for the treatment of malignant solid tumors. The therapeutic approach involves the isolation of a patient's own dendritic cells, which are then matured and loaded with tumor-associated antigens (TAA) ex vivo. Upon re-administration, these activated dendritic cells serve as professional antigen-presenting cells, priming and expanding tumor-specific T-cell populations to identify and destroy malignant cells. In clinical investigations, such as the exploratory Phase 1 trial NCT05034484, this vaccine is being evaluated in conjunction with oral nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), branded as Vital NAD, to evaluate whether boosting NAD+ levels can enhance the metabolic fitness, longevity, and overall anti-tumor efficacy of the dendritic cell therapy in postoperative patients.
