Denosumab + osimertinib is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents used in the management of cancer, particularly in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring EGFR mutations and bone metastases. Denosumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets and inhibits RANKL, thereby preventing osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. It is primarily indicated for the prevention of skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases from solid tumors and for osteoporosis. Osimertinib is an oral third-generation, irreversible epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) that selectively inhibits both EGFR-sensitizing and T790M resistance mutations, commonly found in NSCLC. The combination may be considered to address both tumor progression driven by EGFR mutations and complications related to bone metastasis. However, combining these drugs can increase the risk of serious infections[2][8]. There are no approved fixed-dose combination products; this refers to concurrent use.
