Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DP/MG/14-2 is a subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (SCIT) product developed by Laboratorios LETI S.L.U. It is a biologic allergoid consisting of a depigmented, glutaraldehyde-polymerised mite allergen extract mixture. The product combines extracts from two house dust mite species, *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus* and *Blomia tropicalis*. It is designed to treat allergic rhinitis, rhinoconjunctivitis, and allergic asthma by modulating the patient's IgE-mediated immune response and inducing allergen tolerance. The drug has been evaluated in Phase IIb clinical trials, particularly for patients co-sensitised to both mite species in regions like the Canary Islands where such co-sensitisation is common.
