Overview

DEXAGN + aPD-L1 is a combination therapy consisting of DEXAGN, which appears to refer to dexamethasone, a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant properties, and aPD-L1, a generic term denoting an anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibody, which acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. Dexamethasone is used in diverse indications for its ability to suppress immune activation and inflammation. Anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibodies (such as atezolizumab, durvalumab, avelumab) block PD-L1, a protein expressed on tumor cells that interacts with PD-1 receptors on T cells to suppress their immune response. By combining a corticosteroid with an immune checkpoint inhibitor, the therapy aims to enhance antitumor immunity (via aPD-L1) while controlling potential inflammatory side effects (via dexamethasone). This combination is experimental and is being evaluated in preclinical and early clinical research, mainly for cancer immunotherapy indications[1][3][4][5][7].
