Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents, dexamethasone and nandrolone. Dexamethasone is a potent synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant properties, acting primarily as an agonist of the glucocorticoid receptor to modulate gene expression and suppress immune responses[2][8]. Nandrolone (commonly used as its esterified form, nandrolone decanoate) is an anabolic androgenic steroid that acts as an agonist of the androgen receptor, promoting protein synthesis, increasing red blood cell production, and stimulating bone growth[5][7]. This combination may be considered in clinical scenarios where both anti-inflammatory effects (from dexamethasone) and anabolic support or counteraction of catabolic states (from nandrolone) are desired—such as in patients on long-term corticosteroid therapy at risk for muscle wasting or osteoporosis[7][10]. However, concurrent use increases the risk of fluid retention and edema due to additive effects on water balance[1][2][3].
