Overview

Dezocine + sufentanil is a combination of two opioid analgesics used primarily for postoperative pain management, especially in China. Dezocine is an atypical opioid that acts as a partial agonist at the μ-opioid receptor and antagonist at the κ-opioid receptor, with additional activity as an inhibitor of norepinephrine and serotonin reuptake. Sufentanil is a potent selective μ-opioid receptor agonist. When administered together intravenously, these drugs produce additive analgesic effects, allowing effective pain relief while potentially reducing the required dose of each agent and minimizing adverse effects compared to higher doses of either drug alone. This combination has been studied for use after surgeries such as gynecological laparoscopy and thoracic surgery[1][2][6].
