Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DF-006 is an investigational monoclonal antibody being developed by Drug Farm (Shanghai Drug Farm Biological Technology) for the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) infection and Hepatocellular Cancer (HCC). The drug was identified using Drug Farm's proprietary Medusa platform, which utilizes a genome-wide piggyBac transposon-based mutagenesis screen in mice to discover novel therapeutic targets. DF-006 is designed to target a specific, currently undisclosed protein that plays a role in the pathogenesis of HBV and the progression of liver cancer. By modulating this novel target, DF-006 aims to provide a first-in-class therapeutic approach to achieve a functional cure for HBV and address the high unmet medical need in HCC. It is currently in the early stages of development.
