Overview

Spasmodart is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet developed by Juggat Pharma (a division of Jagdale Industries) for the relief of spasmodic pain and cramps. It contains three active ingredients: dicyclomine (an anticholinergic/antispasmodic), diclofenac (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), and paracetamol (an analgesic and antipyretic). Spasmodart is indicated for the treatment of primary and spasmodic dysmenorrhoea, surgical pain and spasm, backache, and various forms of colic, including renal, biliary, and uterine colic. Dicyclomine works by blocking acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors to relax smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal and urogenital tracts, while diclofenac and paracetamol inhibit prostaglandin synthesis to alleviate pain and inflammation.
