Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dignac Strong is a fixed-dose combination analgesic product developed and marketed by Bhumi Pharmaceuticals. It contains diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), paracetamol (acetaminophen), an analgesic and antipyretic, and caffeine, a methylxanthine that acts as an analgesic adjuvant. The combination is designed to provide synergistic pain relief by targeting multiple pathways: diclofenac and paracetamol inhibit prostaglandin synthesis via cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibition, while caffeine acts as an adenosine receptor antagonist to enhance the efficacy of the analgesics and provide a faster onset of action. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of acute pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
