Overview

Diclofenac + serratiopeptidase is a fixed-dose combination therapy used for the treatment of pain and inflammation. Diclofenac is a non-selective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the enzymes cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which are responsible for the production of prostaglandins that mediate pain, fever, and inflammation. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that aids in the reduction of inflammation and edema by breaking down fibrin and other proteins associated with the inflammatory response, as well as by thinning the fluids formed during inflammation to facilitate their drainage. This combination is particularly effective in managing postoperative swelling and traumatic inflammation.
