Maxrel is a fixed-dose combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication marketed by Dey's Medical Stores. It contains diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and paracetamol (acetaminophen), an analgesic and antipyretic. Diclofenac works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain and inflammation. Paracetamol acts primarily in the central nervous system to block pain impulses and reduce fever.
