Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Repevax + Vaxigrip refers to the concomitant administration of two distinct vaccines developed by Sanofi Pasteur: Repevax (a Tdap-IPV booster) and Vaxigrip (a trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine). Repevax is indicated for active immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and poliomyelitis in individuals from 3 years of age, while Vaxigrip is used for the prevention of influenza. Clinical evaluation in older adults (60+ years) has confirmed that simultaneous administration at separate injection sites is safe and does not interfere with the immune response to either vaccine. Both products are biologics consisting of inactivated antigens or toxoids.
