Overview

The **diphtheria-tetanus vaccine + acellular pertussis vaccine** (also known as **Tdap** or **dTap**) is a combination vaccine developed by **Changchun Bak Biological Technology** (BCHT) for booster immunization in adolescents and adults aged 10 years and older. This specific formulation is an adsorbed, two-component acellular pertussis vaccine, containing purified pertussis toxoid (PT) and filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA) in combination with diphtheria and tetanus toxoids. The vaccine is adsorbed onto an aluminum-based adjuvant to enhance the immune response. It is designed to prevent diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis by stimulating the production of protective antibodies through the activation of B and T cells. As of 2024, the vaccine is undergoing Phase II clinical trials in China (e.g., CTR20263005) to evaluate its safety and immunogenicity across different dose levels.
