Overview

Diprospan + leflunomide is a non-standardized combination therapy used primarily in the management of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, most notably rheumatoid arthritis. Diprospan is an injectable corticosteroid preparation containing two salts of betamethasone (betamethasone dipropionate and betamethasone sodium phosphate), providing both rapid and prolonged anti-inflammatory effects[4][7][8]. Leflunomide is a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) that inhibits pyrimidine synthesis, leading to immunosuppressive and anti-proliferative effects on lymphocytes[2][5]. The combination aims to leverage the potent anti-inflammatory action of corticosteroids with the long-term disease-modifying properties of leflunomide for enhanced control of autoimmune joint inflammation.
