Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AGCITRON-B6 is a combination pharmaceutical syrup developed and manufactured by Agron Remedies. It contains disodium hydrogen citrate, a systemic and urinary alkalizer, and pyridoxine (Vitamin B6). Disodium hydrogen citrate is metabolized in the body to form bicarbonate, which increases the pH of the urine. This alkalization helps in the management of urinary tract infections by relieving burning micturition, aids in the dissolution of uric acid and cystine calculi, and treats metabolic acidosis. Pyridoxine is included to support metabolic pathways and reduce the production of oxalate, thereby helping to prevent the formation of calcium oxalate stones. It is widely used in the Indian market for renal and urinary health.
