Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diwu Yanggan + Kangdu Ruanjian is a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulas investigated for the secondary prevention of hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer). The regimen is based on the TCM principle of "tonifying the kidney to promote liver regeneration and repair," aiming to modulate the microenvironment of liver stem cells. Diwu Yanggan is traditionally used to nourish the liver and kidneys, while Kangdu Ruanjian is intended to clear toxins and soften hard masses, addressing the underlying pathology of liver cirrhosis and tumorigenesis. It is primarily developed and studied by the Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine as part of a national clinical research initiative.
