Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DKK2-specific T cell receptor (TCR) is a preclinical T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy being developed by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) for the treatment of Ewing sarcoma (EwS). The therapy utilizes T cells engineered to express a specific TCR that targets a Dickkopf-related protein 2 (DKK2)-derived antigen presented in the context of HLA-A*02:01. DKK2 is a Wnt modulator that is highly overexpressed in Ewing sarcoma and plays a critical role in osteolysis, invasiveness, and metastatic spread. By targeting DKK2-expressing tumor cells, the TCR-engineered T cells are designed to selectively recognize, attack, and lyse Ewing sarcoma cells, offering a potential adoptive immunotherapy approach for advanced or metastatic pediatric bone and soft tissue sarcomas.
