Overview

This is a combination therapy consisting of DNR.NPC-specific T cells (donor-derived or engineered T cells specific for nasopharyngeal carcinoma antigens), cyclophosphamide, and fludarabine. The regimen is designed as an adoptive cell therapy approach for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), particularly in cases associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). Cyclophosphamide and fludarabine are used as lymphodepleting agents to enhance the engraftment and efficacy of the infused NPC-specific T cells. The mechanism involves immune-mediated targeting of tumor-associated antigens by the transferred T cells, while chemotherapy modulates the tumor microenvironment to reduce immunosuppression and promote antigen presentation. This strategy aims to improve anti-tumor responses in refractory or relapsed NPC, especially where standard therapies have failed[1][2][3].
