Overview

Docetaxel + bevacizumab is a combination of two anticancer agents used in the treatment of various solid tumors, particularly advanced or metastatic cancers. Docetaxel is a semisynthetic taxoid antineoplastic agent that stabilizes microtubules and inhibits their depolymerization, thereby preventing cell division and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells[3]. Bevacizumab is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting angiogenesis by blocking the formation of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth[4][5][6]. This combination leverages both cytotoxic and antiangiogenic mechanisms to enhance antitumor efficacy. Both drugs are commonly used together with other chemotherapeutic agents for indications such as non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, and others.
