Docetaxel + Endostar is a combination therapy consisting of docetaxel, a taxane-class antineoplastic agent, and Endostar, a recombinant human endostatin. Docetaxel acts as a mitotic inhibitor by binding to tubulin and stabilizing microtubules, thereby inhibiting cell division and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. Endostar is an antiangiogenic agent that inhibits tumor angiogenesis by blocking the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells, normalizing tumor vasculature, and improving drug delivery to tumors. This combination has been investigated primarily for the treatment of various cancers including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), malignant ascites in preclinical models, and other solid tumors. The rationale for combining these agents is to enhance antitumor efficacy through both direct cytotoxic effects (docetaxel) and inhibition of tumor blood vessel formation (Endostar). Clinical studies have shown that this regimen can be well tolerated with manageable side effects[1][2].
