docetaxel + gemcitabine + paclitaxel + pemetrexed

This is a combination of four chemotherapeutic agents with different mechanisms of action. Docetaxel is a taxane that inhibits microtubule disassembly. Gemcitabine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis. Paclitaxel is another taxane that stabilizes microtubules. Pemetrexed is a folate analog that inhibits multiple enzymes involved in folate metabolism and DNA synthesis. Each of these drugs has established efficacy in various cancers, particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). While these drugs have been studied in various two-drug combinations, there is limited information about all four being used together as a single regimen.
