Docetaxel + lobaplatin is a chemotherapy combination regimen that pairs two distinct anticancer agents with complementary mechanisms of action. Docetaxel is a semisynthetic taxane that binds to free tubulin, promotes the assembly of tubulin into stable microtubules, and inhibits microtubule depolymerization[1][3]. This action significantly decreases the quantities of free tubulin, thereby inhibiting cell mitosis and proliferation[1]. Lobaplatin is a third-generation platinum anticancer drug that functions as a DNA alkylating agent, causing cell death by inducing DNA damage and the collapse of DNA replication forks[4]. Compared to cisplatin, lobaplatin exhibits improved anticancer effects with reduced nephrotoxicity, neurotoxicity, and gastrointestinal side effects[1][4]. It also has a lower incidence of drug resistance than cisplatin and shows no cross-resistance with cisplatin[1]. Studies have demonstrated that the administration of lobaplatin in combination with docetaxel can produce synergistic therapeutic effects in patients with tumor progression after chemotherapy[1].
