Overview

Docetaxel + methylcobalamin is a combination of two active pharmaceutical ingredients. Docetaxel is a chemotherapy agent classified as a taxane, primarily used to treat various cancers by inhibiting cell division through stabilization of microtubules, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Methylcobalamin is an active form of vitamin B12, essential for DNA synthesis and neurological function; it is commonly used to treat vitamin B12 deficiency and certain neuropathies. While docetaxel has established use in oncology (e.g., breast cancer, prostate cancer), methylcobalamin serves as supportive therapy for neuropathy or deficiency states. There are no known pharmacological interactions between the two agents when co-administered[2]. No unique brand or code name exists for this specific combination.
