Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A chemotherapy regimen consisting of docetaxel and mitoxantrone, primarily studied in sequential rather than simultaneous administration for hormone-refractory prostate cancer (HRPC). Docetaxel is a taxoid that has demonstrated superior survival outcomes compared to mitoxantrone when used as first-line therapy. When used sequentially, patients receiving docetaxel first-line followed by mitoxantrone showed better survival outcomes than the reverse sequence.
