Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Docetaxel + nintedanib is a combination therapy used for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) of adenocarcinoma histology after failure of first-line chemotherapy. Docetaxel is a cytostatic drug, while nintedanib is a triple angiokinase inhibitor that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), and fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) pathways. This combination blocks proteins that regulate the growth and division of cancer cells, effectively slowing down cancer progression.
