Docetaxel + paclitaxel is a combination of two taxane-class chemotherapeutic agents used primarily in the treatment of various solid tumors. Both drugs act as antineoplastic agents by promoting the assembly and stabilization of microtubules, thereby inhibiting their depolymerization. This disruption of microtubule dynamics leads to cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase and induces apoptosis in cancer cells[2][3][6]. Docetaxel is a semisynthetic derivative of paclitaxel, originally derived from the yew tree (Taxus brevifolia), and both are widely used for breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer, gastric adenocarcinoma, and head and neck cancers[2][5][8]. The combination or sequential use may be explored for additive or synergistic effects in oncology settings[1].
