Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DoCo-Pro-RBD-1 + MF59 is an experimental protein subunit vaccine developed for the prevention of COVID-19. It consists of a recombinant protein that mimics the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, specifically targeting the beta variant. The vaccine is adjuvanted with MF59®, an oil-in-water emulsion adjuvant designed to enhance immune response. By presenting a viral RBD antigen similar to that found in SARS-CoV-2, this vaccine stimulates the immune system to produce specific antibodies and activate T cells against the virus, thereby conferring immunity. The primary indication is as a booster dose in adults previously vaccinated with other COVID-19 vaccines[1][2][4].
