Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DKF-462 is a fixed-dose combination generic drug candidate developed by Dongkook Pharmaceutical for the treatment of moderate-to-severe Alzheimer's disease. It is a generic version of Hyundai Pharm's DM Duo (디엠듀오정), combining the acetylcholinesterase inhibitor donepezil hydrochloride (10 mg) and the NMDA receptor antagonist memantine hydrochloride (20 mg) into a single oral tablet. By combining these two complementary mechanisms of action, DKF-462 aims to improve cognitive function and daily living activities in patients with Alzheimer's disease while significantly reducing the pill burden and improving medication adherence. In June 2025, Dongkook Pharmaceutical received approval from the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) to conduct a bioequivalence study for DKF-462.
