Overview

Donor-derived WT1-CTL + P-CTL is a combination cell therapy product composed of two types of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) derived from a stem cell transplant donor. The first component consists of CTLs specifically targeting the Wilms tumor 1 (WT1) antigen, which is overexpressed in various hematological malignancies and some solid tumors. The second component comprises polyclonal CTLs (P-CTL), which are not restricted to a single antigen but can target multiple tumor-associated antigens. This therapy aims to enhance anti-tumor immunity after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation by expanding and infusing ex vivo–cultured, antigen-specific T cells to prevent or treat relapse in high-risk leukemia patients. Mechanistically, the infused CTLs recognize and kill malignant cells expressing their cognate antigens while minimizing graft-versus-host disease risk compared with unselected donor lymphocyte infusions[1][2][3].
