By repairing and restoring impaired glucokinase activity, dorzagliatin aims to improve glucose sensitivity and homeostasis. In Type 1 Diabetes, where endogenous insulin production is absent, dorzagliatin is administered alongside exogenous insulin to potentially improve glycemic control, reduce glucose fluctuations, and optimize insulin requirements.
