Overview

**Dorzolamide + timolol + brimonidine** is a fixed-dose ophthalmic ocular-hypotensive combination used to lower intraocular pressure in primary open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Dorzolamide inhibits carbonic anhydrase in the ciliary body to reduce aqueous-humor production; timolol nonselectively blocks beta-adrenergic receptors to further reduce aqueous-humor formation; and brimonidine is an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that decreases aqueous production and increases uveoscleral outflow. Laboratorios Sophia developed preserved and preservative-free formulations, including Krytantek Ofteno and the preservative-free development formulation PRO-122.
