Doxazosin + avanafil is a combination of two small molecule drugs used for their respective indications. Doxazosin is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist that selectively inhibits postsynaptic alpha-1 receptors on vascular smooth muscle, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. It also relaxes smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder neck, relieving symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia[1][7].
