Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of doxepin, a topical antihistamine, and triamcinolone, a corticosteroid. This combination is used primarily for the treatment of pruritus (itching) associated with atopic eczema and other pruritic skin conditions. Clinical studies have shown that the combination provides more effective relief of pruritus than either agent alone, with statistically significant reductions in itching severity observed within 24 hours of application. The combination also improves overall eczema disease severity.
