Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination chemotherapy regimen used primarily for the treatment of aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphomas, particularly diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The regimen consists of multiple cytotoxic agents that work through different mechanisms to target rapidly dividing cancer cells. When combined with rituximab (as R-MACOP-B) and followed by involved-field radiation therapy in patients with bulky presentation, it has shown high efficacy in young patients with low-risk DLBCL, with studies reporting 7-year progression-free survival of 91% and overall survival of 94%.
