dPD-1 + hCD19CART is a combination cell therapy consisting of two components: - **dPD-1** refers to a PD-1 (Programmed cell death protein 1) inhibitor or blockade strategy, typically involving the use of an antibody or genetic modification to disrupt the PD-1 immune checkpoint pathway. This enhances T-cell activity by preventing tumor-induced immunosuppression. - **hCD19CART** refers to human CD19-targeted Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell therapy. In this approach, a patient's own T cells are genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that specifically recognizes CD19, an antigen expressed on B cells and many B-cell malignancies. These modified CAR-T cells are then expanded and reinfused into the patient to target and destroy CD19-positive cancer cells. The combination aims to synergistically enhance anti-tumor immunity by both directly targeting malignant B-cells via CAR-T technology and overcoming immune evasion through PD-1 pathway inhibition. This approach is under investigation for hematologic malignancies such as relapsed/refractory B-cell lymphomas and leukemias[2][3][4].
