**DPPE + epirubicin + cyclophosphamide** is an investigational combination therapy combining three agents:\n- **DPPE**: 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane; in clinical context, DPPE generally refers to its platinum or palladium complex derivatives, which have been studied as experimental cytotoxic agents or chemosensitizers in cancer therapy, but not as an approved medicine. It adds alkyl groups to DNA, resulting in crosslinking, DNA damage, and cell death of proliferating cells.\n\nThis combination has been studied experimentally for its potential anti-tumor synergy in solid tumors such as breast cancer, but is not an approved regimen. DPPE is not a standard clinical chemotherapeutic and appears in the literature primarily in the context of clinical trials or preclinical studies as an add-on to standard regimens.
