Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DPV-001 + GM-CSF is a combination immunotherapy consisting of the cancer vaccine DPV-001 (also known as the DRibble vaccine) administered with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) as an adjuvant. DPV-001 is a dendritic cell-targeted microvesicle (autophagosome) vaccine derived from two human tumor cell lines and contains over 100 tumor-associated antigens, including short-lived proteins and defective ribosomal products that are typically not presented by professional antigen-presenting cells. The vaccine also includes multiple damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) that act as agonists for Toll-like receptors (TLR2, TLR3, TLR4, TLR7, and TLR9), enhancing its immunogenicity. When combined with GM-CSF—a cytokine that promotes dendritic cell maturation—the therapy aims to stimulate both innate and adaptive immune responses against cancer cells. This combination has been studied primarily in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but also in other solid tumors such as prostate cancer and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma[1][3][6][8].
