DPV-001 + imiquimod is a combination immunotherapy regimen under investigation for the treatment of various solid tumors. DPV-001 is an autophagosome-enriched cancer vaccine developed by UbiVac. It contains over 25 tumor-associated antigens (TAAs), damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs), heat shock proteins (HSPs), and agonists for Toll-like receptors TLR2, TLR3, TLR4, TLR7, and TLR9[1][3]. The vaccine is designed to stimulate both innate and adaptive immune responses against a broad spectrum of cancer targets by presenting multiple antigens to the immune system[2][3]. Imiquimod is a small molecule immune response modifier that acts as an agonist at Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7), further enhancing local immune activation. The combination aims to boost anti-tumor immunity through complementary mechanisms—DPV-001 provides multivalent antigenic stimulation while imiquimod enhances local dendritic cell activation via TLR7 signaling. This approach has shown promising results in early clinical trials for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and other cancers when used as part of multi-agent immunotherapy regimens[6][10].
