Overview

**Dronabinol + cannabichromene** is a combination drug consisting of dronabinol, a synthetic form of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ⁹-THC), and cannabichromene (CBC), a minor cannabinoid found in cannabis. Dronabinol acts as a weak partial agonist at Cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1R) and Cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2R), leading to increased appetite, reduced pain, and antiemetic effects[1][3][4][5]. Cannabichromene is non-psychoactive, with evidence of anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties; it may also contribute to the overall pain-killing effect of cannabis but its precise mechanisms and clinical uses are less well documented[5]. This combination is not an approved pharmaceutical formulation, but presence of both substances may synergistically provide appetite stimulation, nausea reduction, pain relief, and anti-inflammatory effects. Dronabinol is FDA-approved for anorexia in AIDS patients and nausea/vomiting related to chemotherapy[1][2][3][4][5]; cannabichromene is not approved on its own for any clinical indication.
