Overview

DTacP is an adsorption-free, three-component acellular pertussis, diphtheria, and tetanus (DTaP) combined vaccine developed by Changchun BCHT Biotechnology. Unlike conventional DTaP vaccines that typically use aluminum-based salts as adjuvants (a process known as adsorption), this formulation is designed to be adsorption-free, which may potentially reduce local injection site reactions such as redness and swelling. The vaccine is intended for the active immunization of infants and young children to prevent diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. The "three-component" designation specifically refers to the acellular pertussis antigens included in the formulation, which typically comprise pertussis toxoid (PT), filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA), and pertactin (PRN).
