Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DTaP + Menveo refers to the concomitant administration of the DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and acellular Pertussis) vaccine and Novartis's quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine, Menveo (MenACWY-CRM). Menveo is a biologic vaccine containing capsular polysaccharides from *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y, each conjugated to a CRM197 carrier protein (a non-toxic mutant of diphtheria toxin). It is indicated for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease. DTaP is a routine infant vaccine providing immunity against *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*, *Clostridium tetani*, and *Bordetella pertussis*. Clinical studies, such as the Phase 3 trial conducted by Novartis Vaccines (now part of GSK), evaluated the safety and immunogenicity of Menveo when administered concomitantly with routine pediatric vaccines like DTaP to ensure no interference in immune response and to support integrated vaccination schedules.
