**dulaglutide + metoprolol** is a combination of two pharmaceutical drugs: **dulaglutide**, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist used for glycemic control in type 2 diabetes, and **metoprolol**, a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker indicated for hypertension, angina, heart failure, and certain arrhythmias. There is no marketed fixed-dose formulation combining both agents, but they may be co-administered in clinical practice. Dulaglutide works by enhancing glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppressing glucagon secretion, and slowing gastric emptying, which leads to improved glycemic control and potential weight reduction. Metoprolol reduces heart rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure by selectively inhibiting beta-1 adrenergic receptors in the heart. Clinical studies have shown that co-administration of dulaglutide and metoprolol may increase the exposure (AUC) and maximum plasma concentration (Cmax) of metoprolol by up to 19-32% and delay time to Cmax by about 1 hour; these effects are not considered clinically relevant, so no routine dose adjustment is recommended when they are used together[1][2][3].
