This is a combination of two active pharmaceutical ingredients: **duloxetine**, a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) primarily used to treat major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and chronic musculoskeletal pain; and **magnesium sulphate**, an inorganic salt used as an anticonvulsant in eclampsia/pre-eclampsia, as a laxative for constipation, and for electrolyte replenishment. Duloxetine acts by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine in the central nervous system. Magnesium sulphate works by modulating neuromuscular transmission and acting as a smooth muscle relaxant. This combination is not marketed under a unique brand name but may be co-administered clinically to manage both psychiatric symptoms (with duloxetine) and constipation or electrolyte imbalance (with magnesium sulphate). There are no highly clinically significant interactions reported between these two drugs; however, some evidence suggests that certain forms of magnesium can reduce serum concentrations of duloxetine via physicochemical interaction affecting absorption[1][4][5][6].
