Overview

Durvalumab + eribulin is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer (MBC) and recurrent ovarian cancer (ROC). Durvalumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the programmed cell death ligand-1 (PD-L1) receptor, while eribulin is a microtubule inhibitor with proven overall survival benefit in metastatic breast cancer. The combination aims to enhance immune responses by leveraging eribulin's ability to release tumor-associated antigens through cytotoxic chemotherapy and its potential to induce intratumoral vascular remodeling, which may improve the efficacy of immune checkpoint blockade with durvalumab.
