Overview

Ampligen + Imfinzi is an investigational combination therapy consisting of rintatolimod (Ampligen), a synthetic double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) that acts as a highly selective Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist, and durvalumab (Imfinzi), an anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibody. Developed in collaboration by AIM ImmunoTech, AstraZeneca, and Erasmus Medical Center, this combination is designed to synergistically activate both the innate and adaptive arms of the immune system to overcome immune resistance in tumors. It is currently being evaluated in the investigator-initiated Phase 1b/2 DURIPANC trial (NCT05927142) as a maintenance therapy for patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) whose disease has stabilized following FOLFIRINOX chemotherapy.
