Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DZD6008 + docetaxel is an investigational combination therapy consisting of DZD6008, a selective epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and docetaxel, a microtubule-stabilizing taxane. DZD6008 is developed by Dizal Pharmaceutical and is specifically designed to target EGFR mutations, particularly exon 20 insertions, in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Docetaxel is a well-established cytotoxic chemotherapy that promotes the assembly of tubulin into stable microtubules and inhibits their disassembly, leading to cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase and subsequent apoptosis. The combination is being evaluated for its potential to improve therapeutic outcomes in patients with advanced NSCLC who have progressed on prior therapies, aiming to provide synergistic anti-tumor activity by simultaneously inhibiting oncogenic driver signaling and disrupting cellular division.
