Drug intelligence / Profile preview
E-HDFL + EP + TE + N-HDFL + NP + T-HDFL + TP-National Taiwan University Hospital-breast cancer refers to a collection of biomarker-tailored neoadjuvant chemotherapy regimens evaluated in the TaiNAC phase III clinical trial (NCT00911716) for stage II/III HER2-negative breast cancer. Developed by National Taiwan University Hospital, this therapeutic strategy assigns patients to one of seven specific drug combinations based on the expression levels of Tau, Topoisomerase II (Topo II), and ERCC1. The regimens consist of various combinations of epirubicin (E), high-dose 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin (HDFL), cisplatin (P), docetaxel (T/Taxotere), and vinorelbine (N/Navelbine). By matching specific cytotoxic agents—such as topoisomerase inhibitors, antimetabolites, DNA-damaging agents, and microtubule-targeting drugs—to the molecular characteristics of the tumor, the approach aims to optimize treatment efficacy and improve pathological complete response (pCR) rates compared to standard non-tailored chemotherapy.
