E39' (also known as GALE-302) is an attenuated peptide vaccine derived from the folate binding protein (FBP), designed for use in cancer immunotherapy. It is a modified version of the E39 peptide, which targets FBP—a protein highly overexpressed in ovarian, endometrial, and breast cancers. The vaccine is administered with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) to stimulate cytotoxic T lymphocytes to recognize and destroy FBP-expressing cancer cells. Clinical trials have evaluated its safety and efficacy in preventing recurrence of gynecological cancers, particularly ovarian and endometrial adenocarcinomas[5][7].
