Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Auro Vaccines is developing a trivalent vaccine candidate targeting Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus (VEEV), Eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEEV), and Western equine encephalitis virus (WEEV). The vaccine utilizes the proprietary VesiculoVax™ platform, which employs an attenuated Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) as a viral vector to deliver encephalitis virus antigens. This approach is designed to trigger robust humoral and cellular immune responses to protect against these highly pathogenic alphaviruses, which are significant public health threats and potential biothreat agents. The platform is engineered to be highly immunogenic while maintaining a favorable safety profile through vector attenuation.
